-What methods does it incorporate? The standards clearly demonstrate what students are expected to learn at each grade level, so that every parent and teacher can understand and support their learning. The math standards provide clarity and specificity rather than broad general statements. By not only stressing conceptual understanding of key ideas, but also by continually returning to organizing principles such as place value and the laws of arithmetic to structure those ideas. They include critical-thinking skills and the ability to closely and attentively read texts in a way that will help them understand and enjoy complex works of literature.
-Why was is created? The academic progress of our nation’s students has been stagnant, and we have lost ground to our international peers. Designed to align curriculum throughout the US.
2. Do you support or oppose the implementation of common core? Why?
I do support the implementation of common core. The standards are the essential factors that students need to have set.The Common Core Standards will increase the rigor in the classroom and thus better prepare students for college and global work success. This is probably the single biggest reason that the Common Core Standards were created. Higher education has long complained that more and more students need remediation at the beginning of college. The increased rigor should lead students to be more prepared for life after high school.
3. Our media consistently claims there is an education crisis in the United States. What information can you provide to refute this statement? Sit down with parents or teachers and figure out what is important. Location, cost, style of learning, prestige, and disciplines offered can all be key factors, but you should think about what is most important for you. Academic preparedness is key for you to excel in your education. My education experiences have been great, but can people from other places in the country say the same? I do believe that there may be an education crisis in certain areas of our country because some communities receive a better education than others. We need education to become the great equalizer again.
4. How does your administration plan to increase the nation's high school completion rate, which is currently 74.7%?
We plan for the teachers and staff to engage the students more so we can find out more about them and what makes each individual tick. We will have programs that students will take that pertain to a certain career and if they enjoy it they can use it as experience and drive to have that career. If the student doesn't like it they can easily change courses.
5. What is your stance on standardized testing? Do you believe that standardized testing serves a purpose?
I do not approve of standardized testing. Students should be encouraged to learn throughout their entire education for the sake of learning. I do believe that the testing serves a purpose because people want to see how well students are doing in their educational endeavors, but the simple drive to learn will prove better learning results than those of wanting to pass a test to get a good grade. The students should be observed on how well they are doing through observations and participation.
6. What are the positive and negative effects of standardized testing for both students and teachers?
The positive effect of Standardized testing on students may be the realization that the student has learned what the teacher has been teaching them and can now prove it through testing. A negative effect of standardized testing on students can be that they don't care about learning, they may just want to pass to progress further in education. The positive and negative effects on teachers is that it could prove how well or unwell they are doing at educating the students.
7. What other methods can be used to assess our students and teachers?
Propose written reflections to the students so we can receive feedback on what they think. Have teachers and students put together portfolios at the end of a course so the students can reflect on what they've learned and so the teachers can provide accurate feedback stating what their students have learned.
8. How do you plan to ensure that students around the US are college and career ready when they graduate from High School?
We plan to have programs in schools that will teach them the basics of a certain career and its background. The program will include various careers that the student can select and in the classes it will teach the students the basics of the career that they chose and its requirements.
9. How do you plan to make college more affordable for high school students?
To help millions more families afford college, the administration has made historic investments that increased the maximum Pell Grant award for working and middle class families by $1,000, kept student loan interest rates affordable, created the American Opportunity Tax Credit, and expanded income-based repayment to help borrowers manage their student loan payments. To keep costs down and increase access and success for the nation's most vulnerable learners, the administration is working with colleges, nonprofits, and business and philanthropy leaders to develop innovations that improve affordability and completion. We are going to take action to provide the resources that students and families need to make good choices and afford college.
10. Education has been called the great equalizer. Do you believe this statement rings true today in the US? I do not believe that this statement rings true today. Different places all throughout the US have different standards of teaching and requirements. Some communities have better education than others and we need to put a stop to it. We need to make sure that everyone in the US can get the best education available. Providing the best teachers is key to achieving a great learning experience along with government funding for schools to provide everyone with the best equipment necessary for the best learning experience.
11. Why are you plans for education better than those of your opponents? Although my opponents may have some very strong points and ideas that i may or may not agree with, but i have faith in my views and so do my followers and i plan to do the best by my country.
12. Why should Americans trust you to improve American education?
I plan to get our education system back to the top of its game and let it be known as the great equalizer again. Through my methods and programs i believe i can spark a change and see a better, brighter education system in our future.

Foreign Policy Debate questions
- we Being american i believe that our role in foreign policy is the police of the PROTECTING CIVILIANS world. are role is to protect other countries from terror. These beliefs will encourage americans under my wing to protect the countries threatened by isis, and also start the decline and the cycling out troops in the Afghanistan war being the police of the world means that we need to protect countries that need it from terror and to protect the civilians of the world. we believe this because most of the times when something happens bad in the world us troops are usually there giving aid of the us has sent money to help countries to get aid.
- Obama 4 point plans is a good method it includes “AMPING UP AIRSTRIKE”, “ STRENGTHENING TROOPS” , “PREVENTING TERROR”, “PROTECTING CIVILIANS”. Our methods against isis are small airstrikes trying to stop the growth of isis by destroying the occupied villages with the airstrikes. he also has signed a bill called the immediate action if needed he will put troops in to fight isis we strongly agree with president obama's plan. are methods from protecting america and citizens in the middle east will be very effective to stop isis by creating strong airstrikes and sending nighttime assassins to kill isis leaders and members
- I agree with the air strikes and the immediate ation but i believe the airstrikes should be stronger and more effective before we send in ground troops the reason we should wait to send in ground troops is because we could keep up the airstrikes but with more power and more frequently isis will be terminated and we will decrease isis presence in the middle east .
- We will shut down all of their social media recruitment methods and not allow them to ever create one again. Increase the power of the airstrikes and make them more frequent. If isis becomes more of a threat we will deploy ground troops and destroy them we will shut down every isis media method within 8 hours of being up with government computer geniuses and destroy isis with airstrikes and soon if isis increase with ground troops and armored tanks .
- we believe as long as isis still has a strong presence in the middle we will keep a certain amount of troops in afghanistan because isis will most likely move into the afghanistan and take over the area like they are doing right now in middle eastern countries we will be cycling in and out troops and over time the number of troops will reduce
- we plan on keeps a certain amount of troops in afghanistan as of know but over time will cycle in and out troops as the presence of isis reduces in the middle east or near afghanistan.
- we ensure americans will be safe in america and overseas because as the leader of foreign we make sure americans will have a better rep. with the slow redraw of troops in will ensure safety on american soil because there will be more troops in america to protect citizens .
- my plans are better then more opponents because the ensure american citizens safety in american and overseas and will also terminate isis were the stand and stop terrorism in the us with tighter board portal and air security and background checks on weapons and take illegal firearms off the streets
- The reason is because i will protect americans from any threat that there is. like issi we are going to assassinate isis leaders and members with navy seals. we will make sure american soil is safe with american soldiers coming home to protect us soil. i will make safety in the us better with the background checks on weapons and track down stolen and illegal weapons and take them off the streets
- will make other countries love america by giving out more aid to countries that need it
Economy debate questions
- The national debt is at a remarkably high at 18 trillion dollars, we plan to low the debt with future plans and ideals. start to cut unnecessary programs like amtrak and N.A.S.A. we are going to make an investment by increasing funds for education to help grow the economy for the future. another thing we need to do is bring jobs back to america for americans. we import to many projects from other countries when making products here will increase the number of jobs for americans. by bringing manufacturing to america it will open all sorts of jobs from working in factories and businessmen controlling those factories and it will help the overall growth by adding to the money supply. also other things we will increase job security. a huge factor in of economy is that not enough young people are getting a college education because it is so expensive.we have to start now to make funds for our young people so college can be affordable for everyone and continue on and because to make more then they would with no degree .
- we shall be cutting programs like amtrak and Nasa because they don't help provide for the economy and just use resources that could be used for other programs that help the United states we do not need Programs likes NASA because the experimentation does not help with our current problems. currently we can even go to space our self we need to get help from other counties so shutting down our “space” program temporally could help stabilize our current economy. another program we could lower funding but not remove are Amtrak or the national railroad. it is useful but doesn't help transport people as much as other means of travel like cars or even buses do.lastly changing something in the army and defense fund. like in the national bases many of the jobs can be opened up to the public allowing for more jobs and less government spending in addition this increase money flow cause more people have jobs. also in the defense removing or decommissioning some of our nuclear submarines can lower the amount the government has to pay . another government ideal is to creating programs like national fracking will create jobs for millions all over the united states.
- the current rate of unemployment is unacceptable rate of 5.5% Obama has taken a few actions to help lower this percentage. first of all it lends aid to the poor and jobless this helps the US to continue and function so well.
- quite a few actions to help the economy and push it i in the right direction. Obama has helped to start manufacturing in the united states and also he helps small business by having less tax and allowing for many of the business to grow this overall helps lower the debt because more money is flowing in the U.S. i agree with all of obama's new ideas and programs for the united states because it is moving toward good ideas to help the economy in many waves the biggest program i will start is national fracking. this will grant millions jobs to the people of the united states. this will create jobs for many unskilled workers to help build and operate the new fracking falticys. this can create jobs for those in business and economics it will lower the price of gas which is good for the economy because more people are traveling letting the cycle of money flow through the socially
- I do believe that the extremely wealthy and upper class should be pay more for tax cause it will help start to lower the debt or continue to keep up with our current programs with less debt
- outscoring is when you take jobs out of America and put them in other counties. this is mostly in manufacturing because you can make products much cheaper this way i believe we should promote creation of goods in america with lower tax for these items so more people move to creating goods in america and keeping the money in america not sent to some other county
